Witch Hunt

I have taken flight______ aloft and possessed______ witch hunting. Haunting the Night______braver in darkness_____ than in mid day. I have dreamed nightmares of evil, and lived daylight’s lies

I have followed where led ______over the plains prowled city streets and gutters lonely______sixth sensed______out of mind. Only to find modest houses

I found no warm caves smelling of sacrifice, no lairs______dens of iniquity______ poisoned apples______ disarming spells

A preyed after woman is instinct and survival. Shut down, guarded. I am her kind______no different.

The vision of realigning the misaligned invites misunderstanding. She is my kind______the same.

Bedraggled, flailing naked and bloody as fields go by. Survivor______where flames bite, anticipating the stake on the town square.

I have found the witch,

She lives within me.______She has been my kind. Not ashamed to die.______I have been her kind.

We are both afraid to live
